I will chime in for this one! I had an absolutely AMAZING time on this trip. It's too bad not more people could have showed up for it. I wish I could have gotten a lot more for pictures but I did manage to get a few. Without further ado, here we go!!!

Great Pix Jesse! Not EVERYONE takes the Drummond Island Exit 359 picture and now you have your very own! YEAH, sometimes the ferry Captian gets so close to a freighter that you get a little nervous.

I'm just going to post up pix, tell ya the facts of the trip and let everybody else tell ya bout their trip.
I like to hear what others think/say about my favorite place on planet earth to wheel and play! I would like to Thank EVERYONE that attended the Summer HUMMER Island Tour for making it an unforgettable trip for Me. Cris (CBphoto), Steven, Nick, RJ, John (Chastan), Laura ("L"), Amanda, Derreck (Hirola), Jesse (Recovery21), Don (Dad), Dylan, Will (datapimp), Rebecca, Candi (Calamatygirl), Kevin (USMC06H3), Adam (ADAMEKH3), Maggie, Heather (cookie lady) and of course my beautiful wife Millissa (Tough Chick) I will be contacting the owners of The Lodge to see if we can repeat for S.H.I.T. 2012!!!!! THANK YOU! On to the PIX!!!! Harrison, MI (stayed the night Wednesday @ CBs "off the grid cabin") THANKS CB! Left his place and hit the bank so I took some pix of the rigs all clean. Log Cabin looking Airport Attachment 15432 Attachment 15433 After Picking up Candi we headed up to the Mighty Mac (Mackinac Bridge). The Mackinac Bridge is currently the third longest suspension bridge in the world. The bridge opened to traffic on November 1, 1957. Upon entering De Tour Village we met up with Kevin @ the De Tour Village Inn (the cheeseburger bar as he calls it). Had a brew and a cheeseburger and waited for the next ferry.
Attachment 15419 Loaded onto the ferry headed for Drummond Island Attachment 15420 Off the ferry and on to The Lodge. Once there everyone got settled in their rooms, we made some "adult beverages" at the bar and we sat down to enjoy the view. Attachment 15421 Attachment 15422 Ahhh, sunset at The Lodge. You can't capture the true colors on digital cameras. Attachment 15423 Attachment 15424 Thursday night we had a bonfire and passed out the S.H.I.T. 2011 Shirts! Attachment 15425 Friday AM, we all had breakfast provided by my wife and I. Aired Down, pulled fuse "27", lined up and hit the short trek to the trails. More trail PIX!
Attachment 15401 Attachment 15402 We arrived to Shale Beach. About a 4 mile stretch of small rounded stones that crunch like popcorn when you drive/walk on them. Attachment 15403 Hung out on Shale Beach for a while skipping stones and took a group shot (I don't have that one) and off to Marble Head. Marble Head has a pretty nice rock decent/climb with 3 different skill options. I have a lot of video but only this picture of the HUMMER Peeps taking video and pix. Attachment 15404 Lunch on Marble Head (Detroit Coney Dogs!!!!) provided by CBphoto. Many pix of the 80 foot cliff that is Marble Head then off to Glen Cove Beach (others have pix of Marble Head and Glen Cove Beach, I hope thye post'em) After Glen Cove Beach we took a trek to Fossel Ledges. A great place to find fossels in the rocks that get crushed by the waves and placed on the shore line. On the way back to The Lodge it was a "bit" dusty so I pulled over and got some "Kalahari Desert" type pix.

Will and Rebecca provided us with Steak and Baked Taters for dinner! Another bonfire and some quality time spent @ the bar in The Lodge. Saturday AM, Candi and Derreck provided us with breakfast burritos. Candi taught a class on Tread Lightly and we lined up for that days adventure. Even with expert spotting and some rock "placement" I was however AGAIN unsuccessful and had to retreat to the bypass. One day I will conquer it! Well after wheeling over 1000s of bowling balls 1/2 burried all day and Detroit Coney Dogs for lunch we had to stop by our favorite "rest area" before heading back to The Lodge for more Jetski'n, shoot'n, Kayak'n etc.
Attachment 15367 Attachment 15368 We had dinner Saturday night provided by Chastin (John and Laura). Spagetti dinner with hand made meat balls (still want more of those), salad and garlic bread. Fished off with fresh apple pie and ice cream provided by Candi! Full and happy we retired to the campfire for some spectacular star gazing and "trail talk". Some Dirty HUMMERs. Some peeps had to leave pretty early in the AM to get back home. Some of us "stayed up" to wish them a safe trip! Attachment 15354 Sunday for those who stayed was a leasure time of beach, Jetski'n, more Rock Hound'n, Kayak'n, Shoot'n and bonfires. On the sad ferry ride home this is how close the ferry came to a freighter. A little scary when you see the size of a freighter 25 feet from a small ferry. And I didn't even get any pictures of tight twisties! I was too busy trying not to bounce my truck off about 60 different trees while hitting slippery rocks. That was the greatest trail EVER that I have been on.

Sorry Bro, I'm working on the first one again. It was too long and missed about 7 minutes:o. So the first is about 9 minutes and the second is about 8 min! Take a look tomorrow and they will be different!:D

Both are great videos. Nice job on the editing too! Can't wait to do it all again next year. Please keep me on the VIP list for the next trip. It is well worth the drove time and it is also nothing but great company.
