Default Driving Sims on PS3

Well.. I worked a few days for some nice overtime and decided I wanted to blow some ofmy money on some stuff for the house. Some of you know, I am an avid Playstation 3 fan and do lots of gaming (I dont drink or go to clubs much.. Married 10 years... 'nuff said). I got tired of sitting on the couch playing my racing games and such.. So I decided to buy some purpose built equipment just for that, racing.

I ordered a PlaySeats racing chair, a Logitech G25 Force Feedback Steering wheel (Wraped in real leather) with a 6 speed shifter and clutch and a ButtKicker Gamer so I can "feel" the game. Here are a couple of pics of the set-up:

A view from the "cockpit".

If you REALLY like your driving sims, this is a great addition to the realism. The ButtKicker shakes the seat when you hit rumble strips and you can even feel the engine vibrating. (Insert joke here. )

Buying this set-up will set you back about $550.00 before shipping (Unless you find an excellent deal online.) but it has brought a whole new level of realism to gaming and my relax time.

For those interested in something like this for yourself or kids, here are the links to all of it:

PlaySeats: http://www.playseats.com/ (Very sturdy, simulated leather and all metal frame. VERY comfortable, even for a fat guy like me. It adjusts from a 4 foot person to a 7 foot) $250.00 - $299.00+(You will also have to order the gear shift adapter, seperately.) ($30.00)

Logitech G25: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/ga...1&cl=us,en (Real leather and shifter ****, all metal construction, no plasstic parts, except housings.) $250.00 - $299.00+

ButtKicker: http://www.thebuttkicker.com/ (It's NOT a speaker. (Usedfor home, auto, theater, consumer gaming and even Disney.) $75.99 - $129.99

TV Mitsubishi WD-57833 57" http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com/j/i/183...s/WD57833.html(Awesome HD TV! Bought last year.) $1699.00 - $2300.00

As far as PS3 driving games, I play Need for Speed: Pro Street, Nascar '08, DiRT, Burnout Paridise and Gran Turismo Prologue 5 and F1.

The ButtKicker does even better on Shooter games... If a rocket or grenade explodes near you, have a spare set of boxers laying nearby. Makue sure you tighten all bolts and loose items on the chair, it WILL rattle the loose stuff wildly!

If you have a PS3, my PSN name is jdrew. Add me.
All of this isn't as much fun as taking the H3 off-road... But it's DAMN close!

HG, start your flaming with your Xbox Fanboy stuff!!
