Hmmm driver's side. I almost said heater core but I believe that's the passenger side (where my Jeep's located). Is the upper seal in the driver's door wet? My seal had a small leak...

I had a similar problem recently. It was the seal around the roof marker light above the drivers seat. It had perished and water was seeping into the light cluster and then travelling into the inner roof skin, down the windscreen pillar and onto the carpet. You'll be able to confirm this my removing the windscreen pillar so you can see the bare metal and checking for dampness. Or similarly checkinh above the roof lining.
I fixed mine by using a silicone gel and covering the inside of the light cluster in it to form a waterproof seal.

Roof marker lights and sun roofs/drains are the usual culprits.
