Post Driver side axle leaking

Hi guys,
At 15,000 miles I notice that may driver side axle was leaking. I took it in to the dealer they said that the axle seal was worn out. They fix it under warranty. Ok now at 30,000 miles it started to leak again back to a different dealer because my Hummer dealer close up.Just want to see anyone else having this problem.Like to hear any input.
Thanks
James

I have not, but it comes from two possible sources.
1) Dirt/mud/sand gets in the space between the seal and the smooth surface of the shaft and wears on both, leading to failure;
2) an imperfection in the surface of the shaft in contact with the seal, eventually cutting the seal, leading to failure (this one will repeatedly fail over time until the shaft is replaced).

This is why, IMHO, it is moronic to go drive through a few mud puddles/holes in an otherwise flat field to pose as an off roader. Wheeling is way fun, but mud boggin at a construction site is just dumb.
