2003 H2, with a Crimestopper Cool start remote system. I am experiencing the door locks engaging when I open the door an some times when I am no where near the vehicle. Occasionally when this happens the Driver 1 switches to Driver 2. Very bizarre situation, I am leaning towards the aftermarket remote system is going bad,,,,, any ideas???

 

I think either it's going bad or something is not wired correct. Is this H2 new to you or have you owned it and the alarm system worked fine until recently.

 

I am the new owner, so I am finding all the used car bugs and fixing them. The remote works fine (doors, panic, starter) except for this. I am thinking about replacing it with a Viper system.

 

try pulling the power to the battery for a while, see if the gremlins go away.

 

Viper is the way to go from my experience.

 

I agree, I have always had a Viper system in all my past vehicles and never had a problem.

 

While I must admit I've always gone w/ Viper because its the premium brand. You are actually only paying for the brand name and the keyfob.

They are all the exact same quality, made at the same plant. Only real difference are the available options and the keyfobs.

 

Thanks, I know that I need to do something,,, ,quickly,,, I have woke up for a third time to a dead battery. The other day I actually witnessed it happen, my keys were on the bench in my garage, I was walking towards my boat and the lights flashed on the H2 and then the engine started and shut right back off, leaving all the accessories turned on.
I think that it will be removed this weekend.

 

Well, the aftermarket remote has been removed,,,, and the gremlin is still there!!!!
