Dr. Sugardaddy can you tell me why Doctors make people wait so long for results.
Is it to stress you out.
My Girl friend went for some test on the cat scan the found three tumors on her liver.
Then they sent her for a MRI with contrast it shows the whole liver covered.
The live Doctor sent it to another one at MASS GENERAL HOSPITAL one of the best in Boston to look over the films
to this day we can not get a answer it been three weeks.
They should least do a biopsy.

Unfortunately, it's just how the system works. I know that when I order tests, it's out of my hands. I have to rely on how quickly the lab techs, radiologists, ect. get that info back to me. As far as the CT, followed by the MR w/contrast. The MR gives a better image, but is more costly than the CT. Just shows that there is something but they can't exactly tell what. As far as sending it to be read by someone else. First they are probably trying to determine if the biopsy is even needed. No need in putting her through that if it's only an artifact . So what it comes down to is they are trying not to make a mistake. I know it sucks waiting, but just hang in there. If the biopsy is not deemed necessary, she will have to have periodic scans to see if there are changes. But with that said, the biopy is the most accurate way to determine what's going on. Keep me updated. Joe

Trust me Mark, listen to the Doc....I had 6 pancreatic biopsies and 3 liver biopsies because they felt they couldn't wait for the other tests...it's not something you want your G/F to go through if it's not neccassary. Very painful tests to say the least!!!
