door hinge wear?
New 07 h3 owner. The 2 front doors on my rig require extra effort to open & close,(especially driver side). It was not in an accident. A friend owns a collision shop & said it's the "door check", simply a result of wear. Anyone have any thoughts or experience on this one? Thanks...

have you lubed the hinges regularly?
|
I just got the vehicle, so I don't know about regular lubing. However, I did go around & spray w/ pb blaster.

You sprayed w/ PB Blaster lube, or catalyst? The catalyst will remove old grease and eventually dry them out and make them worse. Make sure to use the lube. White Lithium Grease works well and lasts longer, PB Blaster makes some of that as well.

What is your opinion of GM SUPER LUBE. I have used it for a long time and have found it to be superb. A little pricey but I think worth it. |
I use the same 3in1 stuff I use on my garage door track, wheels, hinges, screw drive and spindles. It hasn't let me down yet and I like the "never lose" straw. Easy to direct the spray exactly where you want it!
