Default Door Handles...

Anyone know where I can get some black painted outside door handles and buckets? I can only find them for the old Tahoe and I'm not sure if the will fit...

I know the Tahoe WON'T FIT!!!

But I don't know where you'd find some unless you buy Chrome and have it powdercoated??

have you seen them powder coated before, the handles that is?

I am thinking about doing that to door handles as well as OEM CHrome gas cap! I want my RIG TO BE pretty Black!

you could strip the paint off the plastic ones then dye them black with RIT dye. just make sure you have a good back up plan as this could fail easily

never tried it like that, my friend dyed the plastic on his rollerblades with RIT and its held up well with grinding and abuse, like I said its good to try as long as you know you have a good back-up plan (other handles ready to buy)

I'm not so sure about that suggestion Zach. I anxiously await the report on how well that works.

now that I think about it it wont look that good, it could turn into a miscolored mess or if you DO do it right, which is hard, it will not have that glossy look and will not go well with the paint[sm=badidea.gif]. just paint the stock ones!
