I have tightened the bolt behind the black plug on the front passenger door but the handle still moves up and down. It is better than it was before I tightened the bolt but not as tight as the other handles. Something i'm missing here?

 

The plastic inner pieces get worn, especially the driver door handle because it is used the most. Buy a new handle if it is too loose. EBay for under $50.

 

Tainter is correct, the inner part can wear down and not make up tight.
I bought my driver door (black) replacement handle on Amazon and it fit and works perfectly.
