Does the H3 Really burn less gas than the H2?

Default Does the H3 Really burn less gas than the H2?

this I read in the H2 specifications:
- Fuel economy EPA highway (mpg): 19 and EPA city (mpg): 16

and this - in the H3 specifications:
- Fuel economy EPA highway (mpg): 20 and EPA city (mpg): 15

They're almoust the same!

doesnt the difference between engines (6.0 and 3.7) make any difference in fuel eating?
Can you educate me what are the real fuel economy parameters of the hummers?

Where did you find EPA specs for an H2? I believe that there aren't any published yet; the vehicle is too heavy to require them. I just checked http://www.fueleconomy.gov/ and found nothing for the H2 for 2007 or 2008. I think most people get around 10 mpg--you'll find that on other pages in the forums.

By the way H3 owners, did you see our new EPA ratings, using the new, more "reaslistic" model? Auto and manual are the same: 14/18, 15 expected.

12.9 City, 16 Highway....On a GOOD DAY!!!

BTW, If you ask importkiller, he'll say you H3 specs are WAY OFF also!!

I get 11.5 mpg in my H2, which I think is good considering the weight of the vehicle.

It stands to reason to me that the H2 weighes considerably more than the H3and a much larger 6.0 V8 engine, that it would require more fuel.

Since I have had my head replaced, I am averaging 17 mpg. My best was 370 miles on 20 gallons of gas. Mine is the 3.5

What I am saying is, the H2 does not have the same mileage as the H3
