Default Does Anyone Know What This Is (PICS)

I went to the store eariler today and when I locked the H3 I saw a blue blinking light in the corner of the dash. I noticed that the light only blinks when the H3 is locked. I bought the car without a manual so I have no idea what this is. Im afraid that when I lock the H3 the light will eventually drain the battery. I was wondering if was an alarm system or something like that. Does this come standard with the H3? Anyone know what this is?

That is definitely not stock, and it looks like some sort of antenna. I don't think those little led's would kill your battery maybe over a few weeks but you should find out exactly what it is. Keep us posted.

Could be a remote start/ security transmitter. Is there anything like that the truck came with?

That would be a reciever for a remote start unit. I take it you did not get a remote for it when you bought the truck?

If you look under the dash you should see the base(brain ) of the unit. You can follow the wire harness from the ignition switch also to locate it. That should have a lable or the type of unit that is in the truck if you wanted to get a remote for it or have someone take it out.

It came with an automatic lock/unlock key. The key is not Hummer brand though. The dealer I bought it from didnt tell me what this thing was. Like I said when I lock the truck the LEDS blink rapidly but when the truck is unlocked the LEDS dont blink at all.

I just figured out what it was. Its a remote starter. I was playing around with all the buttons on my remote and all of a sudden the engine started. I guess it is a reciever for the remote.

Interesting that the steelership you bought it from never boasted that the truck had a remote start feature. Doh?

Bonus for you.

Or...... is it Big Brother?
