Do you really use your Nerf Bars?
If you plan on offroading don't get them. Go with the rock rails with removable steps. Take a look at this video...the reason the guy gets stuck is because of those nerf bars. They lower your breakover angle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOO-_0NMQNQ
I have them..its a must for me..I'm only 5' and need them to get in and out...all though my husband is 6'2" and he would prefer them not being there..but since I drive it all the time..they must stay.
I hate the nerf bars and wish I could take them off, but my wife is 5'2" tall and uses them all the time. She actually carries around a broom stick to knoock the slush and salt off of the step before she gets out of the truck
But it could be worse, I have to carry a two step folding ladder in my dodge for her to get in

I love them...... but they do tend to build up dirt and mud, or where it's cold, ice and slush. So if your not careful and drag your leg against them you'll be using a little spray & wash.[:'(]
I thought they would be useful getting in and out of Zookie but all in all beeing a big guy they kida get in the way but I like the way they look so they will stay on even though I do not really use them...[X(]
Actually, I have them, but I would prefer to have a lower step, to make climbing in, easier. One where the step would be about 4 - 6 inces lower then they currently are. Does anyone know of such an item, and where I might be able to get it. When and if, I ever do, go off-roading, I can remove them, but for day to day use, I prefer comfort. I'm a short woman, but my 90 year old mother, who I take around, would find it easier to get in and out, with lower steps as well.
