Do you have a HitchCAM installed?
Well, I have started the installation of my HitchCAM. However, I need to install a relay which cut the power to the trailer hitch constant power, so it doesn't drain the battery. No problem...if I could find the darn wire loom in the engine compartment that is supposedly under the master cylinder.
Has anyone installed this relay? Can you give me a better idea where the wire loom is located? Also, do you know how many wires are contained in the loom (at the engine compartment point)? Wire colors? Thickness of the wire loom (e.g., thick like the loom at the trailer hitch end or thin)?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

The Camera
The HitchCAM was suppose to be a simpler solution. LOL- I think I should have gone with a "complicated" solution. It seems like the camera portition is big. That is, the other options have a more stealth camera. I also thought it was going to be really easy to wire: plug in the camera to the hitch power, run the cable, and mount the monitor.

The Relay
I need to install this relay (see above pic). I cannot find where that darn trailer hitch wiring comes into the engine compartment. Plus, I am not real keen in messing with my wiring any more (given the grief I had converting the lights for operating the H3 here in Europe).

The Monitor
I am trying to come up with a mounting location for the monitor, so I can keep it off the windshield. I was thinking of (1) gluing the windshield mount to the left of the center air vents ($0), (2) using an air vent mount ($10), or (3) this H3 Kuda mount (>$60).
In Conclusion
My H3 is really new (about 1250 miles) despite having already squashed a BMW. I was trying to keep it looking "stock" or OEM. Mounting this back up monitor is bugging me. LOL. I now maybe regret not get the OEM NAV unit (even thought the NAV portition won't work here in Germany unless the new global H3's from South Africa will offer something).

Thanks guys. Now, you know why I hate messing up the "lines" with a big pimple on its @ss, but it will be loads cheaper than paying for another BMW. (I didn't realize them cars are made out of gold.)
The wheels are from R.T. Cepek's company GT, Inc. in Las Vegas. (If you get some, tell him his Army friend mountainbiker sent ya.)
Now, back to that HitchCAM wiring. Who knows where those sneaky trailer hitch wires come into the engine compartment. Also, I thought I read somewhere that there is some hitch wires inside the cabin near the center console.

Since you're in germany, give a call to one of the techs. guys at GEIGER(the HUMMER importer).
They are very helpful and they know their sh*t.

I thought the camera just plug into the wire harness for the hitch.

Now, where is the red wire going into the engine compartment? I know it's hiding in there somewhere (just hope it's not the harness with loads and loads of wire).
