Default Diff/Trans/TC breathers

Recently, I bought a set (6) of aluminum gas cap vents (the type used on the fuel cap of dirt bikes). Unfortunately, being cheap Chinese knockoffs, they lack the “ball check valve” inside, and so they allow air/fuel to flow both directions. This renders them useless for my bikes/ATVs.

But, could they be used for remote diff/trans/TC breathers? Here’s my idea: I replace the stock breathers in the diffs, transmission, and transfer case with barb fittings (if not already equipped), and run hoses up into the engine compartment. At that point, I can make a nice aluminum mount that holds all 4 lines with the nice red anodized “gas cap vents” lined up together.

So, a couple of questions come to mind.
Question #1: Some stock breathers appear to be set up to allow air out, but not in (spring and rubber flap under the cap); Not sure what the H3 setup is like. My proposed my setup would allow airflow both directions. Is that a problem (don’t see why, but…)?
Question #2: Aftermarket breathers typically seem to have some filter media in them. If necessary, I’m thinking that a simple inline fuel filter at any point in the line would suffice (and still maintain the nice look of the aluminum vents), but…is it really even necessary?
