Question Did our H1s become even more collectible?

Was wondering if the Chinese purchase of the Hummer brand made the H1s even more sought after and or more a premium price??? just wondering..

I don't think it will have anything to do with the h1 since gm only marketed (poorly) the h1 after buying the name hummer.

Just wait and see what happens to your resale value in a couple of years when you can no longer get parts!!

when will AMG stop making humvees? That's when it's time to worry.

AMG has made 160,000 Humvees and 15,000 civi Hummers. They will be supplying parts to keep those running for many years after production stopped. I restore old Corvettes and you can still find the parts to restore the 53-55 Corvettes and they haven't been made in over 50 years. I know lots of people that restore old Model A and T cars. They can still find the parts. I am not worried.

The H1 will probably increase in value due to the relatively small number available in the market.

Well while added value is always good (money is helpful) the question is only valid if:

1) you are going to sell it

2) you treated it like a street queen and did not take it out mudding, MOAB, or anything like that

and 3) oh well, if I was worried about avlue I would not mod it and rod it all over the rocks and earth because it is so fun! LOL

I never quite understood the idea of owning an offroad vehicle (especially one as capable as the h1) and just driving it like any other vehicle. Maybe buy a boat and sit in it in while on the trailer in the driveway?
