I drove my hummer this morning to school at 7AM this morning and everything is good, no message from DIC or weird noise from the engine. It wasn't until about 12 hours later that i turned on my car again to go cruise to Safeway that i got the message. Also i did not notice the weird engine sound until i turned down the volume ( Chairlift - Bruises ) at a light before my neighborhood. I'm not expert at repairs or anything, but my engine sounds like a diesel F-250. That idle rumble engine noise was present and i have no idea whats going on! I did a search for oil pressure as well, could not come up with anything. So would be the choice of action to take from here? Jiffy Lube or take it all the way to Hummer of Pleasanton =[ so far from where i am lol. Can I get your advise please!

Ignore the sound and trade it in for a 2007 S-65 AMG [sm=lildevil.gif]! I would not mind a V12 Bi-turbo.

sound like you need a new motor im thinking spun rod bearing or a bad oil pump.

 

I had my father check it this morning and to his knowledge (although i take a risk in listening to him sometimes lol) he claims it to be power steering fluid! The oil pump is in working order as i had it checked last week. could have gone bad in a week, who knows!

 

Car lost power steering. Regained. Then the hummer engine shut off completely leaving my slowly gliding it to the curb. Its at a shop now =[

 

So you continued to drive it after the low oil pressure was displayed? If you didn't shut it down right away to diag the problem, your probably going to be looking for a new motor. If you think there's a possibility your powersteering is going out, I'd get that looked at also. Your power brakes run off that same pump.

 

This does not sound like good news at all. I hope everything works out for you though.

Yeah I bought it in on black friday and used the oil life data on OnStar as proof that i changed my oil otherwise they wouldve voided my warranty. the tech opened it up and found "engine oil pump has low oil flow". theyre replacing it im picking it up tomorrow finally!
