Default Decided to rent a u-haul for my trip to NC....quick question?

Remember me everyone. I'm the nutcase that was going to attach a smallenterteinment center to my roof crossbars???
Anyways...decided that I'm better off renting an u-haul. Didn't want to kill anyone on the way to NC if the thing felloff inthe middle of the roadway.

Anyways...this will be my first time towing with the H2. I rented a 6'x12' trailer from u-haul. The trailer weights 1800 lbs empty. Do I need to drive the whole 800 miles in "tow/haul" mode?? Keep in mind that the trailer will not weight that much more because I just have a few boxes and the entertainment center. Thats it.

Thanks for your knowledge in this matter.

You can. At 1800# I don't think it will matter much.

I will not hurt anything to use it. I would still use it to make life easier on your tow. What is does is build the line pressure in your trans and change shift points and holds gears longer. Use the tow mode.

Ok then. So if is not going to hurt anything by using it.....I guess I will use it. I just don't want to have any issues/problems with the tranny in the future.

Thanks for the quick responses. I'll be on I-95 North bound tomorrow. Look for a black H2 towing a u-haul ;o)

Thanks again guys! I will post pics on my return 2 weeks from now.

Yeah.... I doubt you will be able to even tell the trailer is behind you.... I towed a 16' car trailer from Illinois and had it not been for a few bumps now and then I wouldn't have known....

We tow a lot with our H2 and the tow haul mode eats more gas. You can use it for more power over hills if necessary, but I doubt you will even know the trailer is there. I only use the tow/haul over hills with a heavy load.

Your entertainment center is breathing a lot easier tonight.
