Bob's rig is in all honesty as perfect and tasteful as you can get for a chromed out rig. I've yet to see any others that I like more (and holy **** have I seen some really hideous ones!!) I like blacked out stuff on my truck but thats because its black. I just bought a black grill and a black brushguard for my H3 (the picture in my sig is my truck with the grill sprayed with a temporary bra)

On a blue rig like yours I think that either way you choose would look good!
Thanks Bo, I really appreciate the compliment!!

BTW, Nice to see you back posting!!

Hey, no problem Bob, its easy to speak the truth!

as far as posting... yeah, I've missed it... laptop's hard drive got totally fried about a month ago.... I'm not so much mad that my computer died, but more so that I lost 3 years of pictures, 10 gigs of music, and all of my documents and papers for school (right before the push for finals... great timing...)

Bo - Did you spray that grill or did you have to purchase another grill. I want to loose the chrome on my H2 and the chrome grill, chrome brush gard, chrome side steps, & anything else needs to go.
Thanks for any input as I am new to all this.

- Troy

hey Troy,

If you're looking at the grill in my signature, that was sprayed with a temprorary bra that Duplicolor makes... The black grill that I have just installed on my H3 was purchased as a painted grill from the dealership (they gave it to me for invoice since I showed them better deals on the internet for an identical part), here is a quick/crappy pic to show what it looks like

Appreciate the input from everyone.

Looks like I am leaning towards the powder coat black. Just curious...would it be cheaper to just purchase the the exterior items already done or have a local shop remove whatI have on the truck and then have them do it?

Otis...I like your wheels. I was looking at the ones at stallioncustoms.com. they are the black ones with the chrome chips throughout the rim. I think they are either 20's or 22's.

Keep ther ideas coming and any photo's that you come across will be excellent. As I begin the transformation I will post before and after pics.

From what i understand powder coating chrome( assuming what you have on the truck right now is chrome)and the process involved is more costly then if you just bought new stuff..Plus you could sell the chrome stuff you already have.

Thanks btw about the wheels! i love em! I was told when i ordered em, that they might be on back order for a month, but they (the shop)wouldnt know for a few days. I wasn't going to wait a month for a set of wheels!!..lol
My 2nd choice was the Moto Metal 951's
