I have a white 06 and also painted my grill black.
Luv it. Going to do the rims next and then the fenders.

Question.

How deep did you sand the fenders? All white paint sanded off?
If not, then if you get a nick I imagine it would really show.
The plastic fender color under the paint is a grayish, so imagine it would not show up as bad if a nick or scratch happens (which it will)

Trip, i think you can powdercoat almost anything that can be electrically charged. You would just have to be sure the surface is prepped really well. Maybe chrome can't be charged, but aren't the rims just chrome plated? Which means the chrome can come off? I may be wrong.

thats exactly what i was going to say. I would talk with some one at a powder coating shop. I think as long as the wheel has enough prep it will work

Looks great, you just need to paint the H3 emblems black to match.

BTW - what was your method for sanding/painting the grill (paper grit, # of coats, etc)? I wan't to do mine and make it look as good as yours.

I am wondering the same thing as far as sand papering. Did you just scuff the surface or actually remove the chrome? Thanks and good looking truck!
