Default Could be selling my Dmax H2

I'm thinking about selling my Duramax H2. Its a 2004. The H2 has 44,000 miles and the dMax has 110,000 miles. Hline did the conversion 10,000 miles ago and added a PPE stage 5 Allison transmission, new dmax accessories, new x process transfer case, class V hitch, 20" rock stars, New BFG 35" tires, big brakes, Edge processor and lots of other items. I ended up paying just over 45k for the conversion and accessories. It also has an alpine touch screen rear head rest entertainment, alpine 5 channel amp and JL speakers and sub. The car is in good shape on the exterior but not perfect. What do you think I should ask for it?

I'd love to know why you are selling it? I have contemplated this conversion many times. Seems like if you created nearly the perfect vehicle yet you are selling it after 10k miles.

Me too. I'd like to find a non running H2 with good body and interior and do the conversion.

I built the H2 to tow my boat that weighed 8,500 lbs. it towed it great, but I've sold my boat to buy a bigger boat that's not trailerable. I have five other cars and I never drive the H2.

Fair enough. Too often I read about guys re-powering their rigs (jeeps, toyotas, fords, etc) and selling them shortly afterwards. Makes one think it's not quite as great as it sounds on paper.

Even from a fuel savings perspective it seem like it would take more than 15yrs to just make up the cost of the conversion if you doubled your MPG and drove 15k miles per year.

it seems like a tough market most of the time for h2's... that being said, it is probably a harder market for a dmax conversion. idk though haha

start at 35k and see if there is any interest. the main problem, it is still a 2004- getting hard to spend that kind of money on something that old with parts going obsolete for important breakable items. at least the general population doesnt know that, which is a good thing i guess.

good luck!

I hope a limo company doesn't chop it up.

I never thought of it, but that might be your target buyer.

I would love to drive a dmaxH2 just to see if it's what I think it is. I'm pretty sure we're in to our H2 for the long haul so it could be an option. But, even after driving a Excursion 7.3 diesel for 9 years, I love the sound of the 6.2.
