I haven't posted or even looked here in a while. You guys might remember, I have a 2000 6.5 td. About a year ago, It died on me and wouldn't re-start. When I checked compression, I only had 100 psi in #8. I believe it was the heavy block. The engine was actually replaced at about 45000. It now has around 60000. I did what was probably a bad move (in retrospect). I converted it to run on Veggie oil. I have since switched back to diesel only. I had alot of problems with IP failure. I have replaced them 3 or 4 times. I had full intent on tearing the heads down myself and taking them to a machine shop to be re-worked. Then I was going to re-assemble it myself. That was last year LOL. It is still in the garage. I was just wondering if anyone knows what I can expect to spend if I just have it towed and let someone else do the job. Also, if anyone knows someplace trustworthy in the Cleveland, OH area, please let me know.
