Default coolent where is the leak

2007 h3 120000 miles
I am losing coolant about 1/2 out of the tank in a month and i don't see any drips or puddles no coolant in oil, plugs are clean, floor is dry, after a drive i do smell a bit of antifreeze in front of the hood but can not see it, I have a new radiator and water pump, but i have not put it in yet, is there any other place i should look.
thanks

Any smoke? Check trans fluid and engine oil and report back.

no smoke, trans fluid is clean,i was thinking small crack in the radiator but i cant see any wet spots on driveway or skids, does the gm antifreeze dry quickly. and it seems to lose the most on a long drive 75 to 100 miles

oil is clean. No steem or smell in the cab ,But you can smell antifreeze by the grill some times, Im going to pull the radiator and replace it and the water pump while im in there.
If it was a small cracked in the radiator would the antifreeze dry up as it leaked while driving, I know the green antifreeze takes forever to dry but I dont know about the pink / orange stuff

Just trying to make sure you are not burning some off in the cylinders because of a head gasket issue. You won't always see that in the oil, and it may be tiny enough that it does not smoke.

You could have a leak that is slow enough to allow coolant to seep out when driving and blow back under the engine and trans, but not enough to drip onto the ground after you stop. Have you taken off the front skid plate and looked at the underside up front, or back by the tranny and T case to see if anything is wet?

Hey, thought I would chime in. Mine was near impossible to find for a while just like yours and I didn't find it until it emptied the jug in a couple weeks. I found it where Doc told you to look running down the sides or leaking out the sides or something.
The coolant was getting on the skid plate when it dripped and Didn't get any in the driveway either. I changed it out with a cheap one 150 bucks or somethingand problem since. Well Not with the coolant or radiator, thermostat was stuck open changed it out.
Good luck, hopefully it is only the radiator.

Not lately, but i will this week end, hopefully it is not a head gasket, but within the last 2500 miles iv lost maybe 2 quarts so it it a slow leak and possible to be burning it, but i do smell it under the hood at times. thanks for your input

Sounds like a tiny radiator leak. Once it gets hot it starts to leak. It's so small the leak creates a steam or mist instead of a flow that you can see.

thanks for all your input, Now that you say that about small amount steam that makes scenes because i would smell it now an then in front of the grill,it is probably in-between the ac condenser and radiator. I bought a new silla radiator and a new not rebuilt water pump i will be putting it in this weekend. i just need to get a new belt and thermostat. and do it all and be done with it.
thank you for all your reply's
