Here in Costa Rica I can't find the red coolant to fill quarter of a gallon what is missing. I guess I should not mix it with green coolant. Should I better change to all green or fill up with water?

 

DO NOT mix the red & green !!!!
It will gel up in your system and clog everything. My wife had to replace her radiator because some idiots at JiffyLube topped off with the wrong coolant and it reacted with the Dexcool in her Blazer.
I say just top it off with water for now.
In the future you could switch over to the green but be prepared to thoroughly flush your entire cooling system to eliminate all traces of the red stuff.

 

Totally agree 100% don't mix.
Flush and refill with standard multimix or order the correct brand. Distilled water is the next best.

I believe Prestone makes a Dexcool compatible radiator fluid, it is not red, more like a yellow, not Ethylene Glycol (green). Read the label, if you have the right stuff it will say compatible with Dex cool. Maybe you can find that?

The regular Ethylene Glycol (old green stuff) is actually getting harder to find in the states and is getting pricey.

Thanks everybody, a friend of mine and mechanic found some coolant which one of his clients bought for his H3. It is from PENNZOIL and called ANTIFREEZE & SUMMER COOLANT. It is green. Will call the hotline on the container 1-800-990-9811 before changing anything. Does anybody know how much is needed to replace everything ? I got 2 Gallons.

 

You can mix Dexcool with regular green antifreeze. The only down side is it reduces the change interval to 2 years/30k miles.
