Considering HID's
I got the STARR HID headlight set after I had the plug and play HID kits that had a ridiculous amount of light output, way more than the STARR HID kits but its legal so what the hell. if you want to upgrade your fog lights so you don't have that ugly orange/yellow color you can purchase plug and play HID H10, since only headlights are restricted to needing a projector housing. You can go to http://www.fashtek.com/ to get excellent plug in HID kits with 50w ballasts over the standard 35w. 3000k will give you a yellowish color for fogs and if you want a nice cool white color for your headlights get 6000k bulbs.
I have a black set and a chrome set of aca HID projection headlights i will sell.
complete never installed pm me for price i original purchased the kits for $999 each

I also installed the STARR HID headlights. They are great. Nice thing about them is they are Bi-Xenon. When you flip on your brights, the cutoff shield is flipped up and you have high beam HIDs. Far better light output, road coverage and depth. I found mine on ebay and offered 650 and won. They are normally 999. An expensive add-on, but worth it if you do a lot of night driving and for offroading at night.
I got an HID kit on ebay for my foglights (h10 10K brilliant blue). They weren't expensive so I didn't expect much, but the brightness is ridiculous. I've driven at night with them the last 4 or 5 nights and I still switch the fogs off to compare and it's unreal how bad the factory headlights are even though I switched out to more powerful bulbs a year or so ago. I'm pretty sure my kit isn't DOT approved but since I see so many on the road, I'm hoping I don't get stopped for that and if I fail inspection I can swap them out for my oem bulbs in 15 minutes tops. I'm waiting on a kit for my headlights but I'm thinking I may have to adjust the aim afterwards since I think I'm going to light up the world combining them with the fogs. I wish I made the change sooner since I'm sick of being blinded by smaller cars on the road who have made the change while I'm squinting to see in the dark/rain.
I usually buy the plug and play HID conversion kits on ebay. I used them when I had my pathfinder and I just bought my set for the h3. I got this set for $48 shipped and it has "high beams" in the sense that a halogen bulb turns on when you switch to highs which I found to be useful because it will light up road farther and more on sides. There is the issue of blinding others and cops but in my three years with my pathfinder I never got pulled over. I turned my lights down more then stock alignment as to not kill others infront of me and it seems to work. None if barely any people would flash me when I had adjusted the lights. Bottom line Its a cheaper but riskier option overall.
