Hey all,
I am curious... what is the compatible GM trucks that match our rigs?

For example:
I thought I remember some time back reading that the suspension was compatible to that of a 2500/3500?

Or the engine was out of a V8 Chevy/GM LQ4

(so, basically if we were to look for replacement parts... we can get them off certain specific vehicles)

See where I am going?

All I know is, if u have a h3 with the inline 5 cylinder. That engine was used in the chevy Colorado.

 

Depends what parts you are after. Some motor, steering and suspension parts might be the same off an equivalent 3/4 ton GM tuck of the same year. Body and interior parts will most all be Hummer specific.

as for the rest, welll since this was written in the H2 section, I would think you would understand it is regard H2s (thanks for the try though)

Cali Phil - yeah thats basically what I was figuring.... I know the seats and things like that might be crossovers, same with the gauges, but really what all I am looking for is suspension and drivetrain

 

just about the same as a 2500.
Except for specifics in the 4wd system. Completely different on a Hummer. Basically. Some internals are the same.

The motor is an LQ4, but is very compatible with the myriad of LSx series.


It would be easier if you tell us what you are looking for. But basically the steering is all the same. And what in the suspension?

 

I've read that some rear end parts are off the 1500 and still more components are interchangable with the Escalade and Suburban, Tahoe. I cant confirm which parts as I havent changes out any myself.
