Commercial..or car
Hi I'm looking at getting a h3 but I need to know weather it is clased as a commercial or is it a car ....as I am a carpenter I need carpenter I need a commercial for the tax .....can someone advise me please...thank you ....pete
I think you need tax advice, you can use anything (including mini vans) and take a tax write off for its use in your business.
I'm uncertain as to your questions meaning?
Are you asking: can a hummer H3 be used for business and may I use its milage as a business expense?
If that is your intent you will need to discuss this with a qualified business attorney, tax advisor or call the State / IRS.

Also, my H3 is classified as a personal vehicle (I.e. car, SUV, van) in the state of WI. Ive operated a small business for 16 years and have used several different styles of vehicles for business purposes. Each has been classified as personal use not commercial. That is why I recommend discussing this with a specialist or at the very least DMV.

I use my H3 for business and have for ten years and I deduct the expenses on my taxes and depreciation.
It sounds like you are asking what an H3 can be registered as.
In CT it is considered an SUV / Station Wagon and can be registered as a Passenger vehicle (non-commercial) or a Commercial vehicle (for business use only) or a Combination vehiclen which is for both business and personal use.
There are various reasons to go Combo vs. Commercial but in general very small businesses (like a one man carpentry business) would be better as a Combo Reg.
Combo Reg. costs much less than Commercial Reg.
You state may be different,
