I would like a chrome one again on my car someone has colour coded mine silver. I am a car painter and i will colour code my grille to any colour code if someone wants to swap.Only cost will be postage of course.

 

How would I redo it? Sand it completely and then what?

 

You need to flatten it all down with 240 grade sandpaper,remove hummer badge of course and sand there also.You then use a quality 2 pac primer,allow to dry smooth down then paint as you would with any car 2 pac paint.

 

What year is your hummer? If you have an '08+ grille, could you perhaps paint it birch white? I would swap you mine if that's an option and pay the difference.

 

My car is an 05 model although i believe that the grilles are the same.I will find out from middleton hummer if they are the same.I would colour code the grille for you no probs would just need the paint code from your car to insure a perfect match. Where do you live just to get an idea of postage costs and time etc.

 

Ah it's okay, I didn't realize you were from northern ireland. Postage would be ridiculous! But thanks for the offer..I may just pay for the new white one.

Got the grille! Came from the website I mentioned before..cost was around 364.00-400.00. Not too bad IMO, the grille looks great, very clean and fit great!
