i ordered the K & N cold air intake it will be here thursday
i checked the 3rd. tank of gas and we got 14.7 mpg
i hope it will help the mpg will keep ya'll up to date

 

14.7 isn't too bad. I thought the H3 would get better mileage with the 5 cylinder.

 

yeah the H3 gets alot better gas milage than that. you sure you are doing it right? im getting 19 with bigger tires and im pretty sure that took off a few mpg. i have the K&N but haven't done any tests let us know what ya see in gains.

 

ok checked the 1st full tank w/ the k&n installed and got 15.9...yeah im doin it right i also have the bigger tires and an auto trany

 

I just put the K&N Cone Filter on mine. The air intake was pretty straight as it was and I didn't think that the cold air intake would add much more. I haven't seen any major MPG difference but I only have 1300 miles on mine.

 

Do these really help or are they just a myth? I kind of think they are mostly hype
