Hey i found this site where they give info on painting your car chrome, theres evan a pic of a H2! i was just wondering has anyone ever done something like this or seen this, doyou think a regular auto body shop would do this?

This is NOT chrome!!!!! Not even chrome paint.

Look at the chrome wheels, and then look at the paint. See the difference? The wheels are chrome, and the body is shiny pewter/charcoal with lots of clear coat.Very little reflection off the paint, and a very dark reflection. Not a chrome reflection. Maybe 10% of chrome, not 95% as claimed. Just candy paint.....Nice try.....

 

so if you just apply more clear coats you will get the same finish?

 

I kinda like it.
