My 06 OEM chromes are pure junk! Took care of them- washed them weekly inside and out, Used metal polish since I bought it used 7-8 years ago. Just a poorly made product, Period! Nj- not the saltiest roads in the world. Rotting, just like my back passenger doors. Poorly made.

so as my chrome peels off is there any chance that the wheel will become weaker , prone to rotting away??

it shouldn't. it is just chromed alloy. I haven't heard of any issues with the wheels or other alloy wheels reacting in a way that would weaken the strength of the wheels.

I recently purchased new 35' Nitto Trail Grapplers and black (no clear coat) American Racing wheels. Very happy. Will post pics as time allows.
