Thinking about getting the chrome "covers" for my Door Handles and Mirrors. Are these products any good? I wonder about that quality and the fitment over the OEM hardware. Anybody have any experience/comments with these?

I have them on my 08,they fit fine but the chrome on the handles is starting to blister and peel and the mirror heads are the same way.The covers were on when i bought it and it only had 10,000 miles on it and now has 29,000.They are a waste of money in my opinion but thats my experince.I hope this helps.

 

Thanx for the reply. I had a feeling that's the response I would get. Factory chrome mirrors and handles simply cost a bit, so I figured it'd be worth a shot to see how the covers behaved for folks.

 

Search a few sites and you'll probably find someone who's trying to black out their truck and would trade their chrome mirrors and handles for yours. That's what I did and haven't had any problems at all.

I just noticed one of my mirrors has got white paint marks on it, so I doubt you'll wanna trade now. Just once I'd love to catch someone dinging any of my cars up...
