So I was going to purchase my new Toyo Open Country 315/75/16s M/T this week. Then I got to thinking before I start putting too much money into this truck... is this the one I want? I pretty much got the basic adventure package with cloth and no real options besides side steps and the trailering package. Well the 5 tires were going to cost me 1,300 total out the door mounted and balanced.

Well I calledmy dealer and talked with them about what I was thinking andwehave worked out a pretty sweet dealfor a fullyloaded 2007 H3WITH the tires I wanted put on in the price, for virtually the same payment with only 1,000 down. Do you guys/girls think that would be a good move? I mean it seems like I'm comparing tires to a new vehicle... but I just want to get some opinions to see if you guys/girls would do the same thing I'm thinking of doing. I only have about 10,300 miles on my 06 right now. I have had several problems withmy current H3 IE: New CV drive shaft, 2 new transfer cases, front diff rebuilt and I'm still hearing a grinding noise that the dealer claims they can't hear.

Sounds like not too bad a deal on the surface. You are spending less up front ($1000 vs $1300), and if your payment are about the same, won't impact you monthly. Over time, you will still probably pay more, but you are getting a new truck, witjh new warranty, bigger motor with more power, and probably a few other bonuses. I say go for it!

Thanks guys... I'm still young so I figure if I screw up....I have plenty of time to make up for it lol... or make a bigger mistake so I can laugh at this one later lol... The only thing I'm thinking about now is the difference in suspension without the adventure package. I don't need the rear locker in all the mud I play in, but not sure what the different suspension really is.

If you plan on doing a fair amount of off roading... I suggest going with the Adv package Luke. Lower TC ratio, Rear lockers (A must In most off road situations), and I believe the Adv package have a higher ride height with larger sway bars... Me think!!!!

Yea they put the Toyo Open Country 315/75/16s MT on for me at the dealership. If the sales guy lied about the gear ratios then I'm going to call it no deal.
