Default chimes from a stop or going slow

My 07 has a chime problem. From a dead stopI hear 2 series of 4 chimes, each time I accellerate. No message on the message center, unless I put my foot in it or it is under load (off road), and then the "doors" message comes on once and dissappears. If I feather the gas and take off realslow, no chimes!!!!! I have checked all the doors and the button that is activated when the doors are shut. everything seems in order.Any ideas? I just don't want to visit the dealer for a nuisance item, and my size 13s aren't made for "feathering"!

Do you have your seat belt latched and make sure you have not got a bowling ball or something sitting in the passenger seat..

If it was a door not closed all the way the locks would start (popping) They would try to lock then open right back up so the locks inside the car would be going crazy

If I turn my DRL's off I get the same chimes every time I take off from a stop. Never had a door open message flash though. Have you checked the back door?

HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH MY O7 BASE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THE REAR CARGO PUSHPIN DOOR SENSOR WAS NOT ADJUSTED PROPERLY.THEY SAID IF ANY MOISTURE GETS IN THE SENSOR IT WILL CAUSE THIS FALSE DOORS ALARM AND THAT ANNOYING CHIME. THEY EVEN SUGGESTED PUTTING A SMALL BEAD OF CLEAR SILICONE AROUND THOSE PUSHPINS TO ASSURE NO MOISTURE. ANY HOW, I ADJUSTED THE RUBBER SENSOR MYSELF BY TAKING THE SCREW OUT AND READJUSTING THE RUBBER OVER THE SENSOR SO IT FIT TIGHT WITH THE DOOR. I THEN PUT A VERY SMALL BEAD OF CLEAR SILICONE AROUND THE SENSOR. PROBLEM FREE EVER SINCE. ----ROADDAWG-----
