Love this forum...currently in a 2008 h3 that I just bought used...Really enjoying it...
City of chicago calls it a "st" small truck and when I went to buy my city sticker they charged me double what it would cost if I drove a regular suv..
anyone have experience with this? make sense?

What type of registration plate is on it?
Does that matter in Chicago?

In Connecticut I could register as a Combo vehicle which you pay based on the weight of the vehicle (this is the most common reg. for pickup trucks) or I could register as a Station Wagon which gets regular passenger plates. That's the cheapest way to go.
My town tax is based on assessed value regardless of how it's registered.

 

its a regular plate although they told me it goes by the vin number.
i just never heard of the h3 being called a small truck...
oh well...now i got me a truck!

Spectre, the previous owner took very good care of that rig from what he posted through the years.
