Checking a transfer case before swapping with current
Hello all. I have a 2007 H3 with a stretched transfer case chain at 123,000 miles. I have aquired another transfer case out of an 07 H3 (113,000 miles) that's "good" according to the past owner. I bought his front diff which worked out very nicely because mine was blown out and his wasn't so I don't have a reason to not trust the guy. Is there anyway to check the shiftting of this "new" transfer case before I swap it in? Should the shifting rod that the motor turns only rotate a certain amount before stopping? If so, how much? I don't want to swap in a bad tcase just to figure out that its junk and swap mine back in the same day. (This weekend)
Thanks,
Dan
Thanks,
Dan
