Default check engine light

i got stuck in a snow drift the other night with the freezing rain. so i locked it in 4 high and got on it pretty good and got myself out. i finally got on the highway and on my way home my check engine light blinked at me 5 times then stopped? should i ignore it or do something about it? will it even come up on a scanner cuz i cant even get a scanner to read it when the check engine light is on? it runs perfectly fine

Computer fart?

Check it with a code reader, not all codes throw the CEL, but I would not worry about it.

Default Check Wallet (Engine) Light

Pay attention to it!

My 2006 H3 had this happen last year at 38k and I had to replace the camshaft actuator. It then happened at 41K on my cross-country trip to California. The H3 spent 12 days in the shop at the Buick-GM dealer in St. George, Utah (Very strong recommend on Newby Buick-GMC's Service Department) as not only was the camshaft actuator bad, but the timing chain and associated mechanicals were grinding themselves to bits. My rental was a Dodge Avenger. Thus, there was no off-roading in California and my vacation was ruined, totally souring me on GM products. Especially since that was the last three-week vacation I'm likely to be able to get until I can retire. By that time, the H3 will have likely long since become beer cans. The H3 is the best vehicle I've ever driven off-road. (I had three Jeeps before that) It's just unreliable on-road.

Ibe thing, have OnStar do a diagnosis, if you have the service. It's a Godsend,

I loved my H3. That is, until this. While GM paid for the repairs and the rental,, the trip was very frustrating. All I could do was drive to trailheads. If I wanted to drive a rental to trailheads, I would've flown out. rented a sedan, and had an extra eight days in California being a regular on-road tourist.
