changing factory 6 disc changer

I am wanting to go with an after market radio with gps so my question is if I change the radio in the front will the smaller radio in the back no longer work since it works off of the front one?

I have an '05 H2 with the Bose sound system and I am wanting to put in a factory navigation radio, what do I need to look for?
