Default Championship Edition

Too far for me to go pick it up but I found a CE on eBay this morning. The dealer has it listed as ALPHA but it is definitely a CE. Priced at $17995.00 or best offer. Great price for one with 100K if the Carfax checks out. It is at Highline Auto Sales in Willowbrook Ill. If I didn't already have one, I would hop on a plane and go check it out.

Looks to have some issues based on what I saw in the pictures:

1) SERV TPM message on the DIC.
2) Driver's seat appears to have the incorrect side trim panel as cloth seats did not come powered.
3) Looks like someone took off the rocker panel rails and installed chrome steps. Not sure about the rest of the UCP that came on the CE version.

On the positive side - based on the CARFAX - it looks like it received regular maintenance.

Some of your assumptions are incorrect.
You could definitely get power cloth driver seat. Option I believe that started in 2008 or 2009.
No CE was delivered to the dealer with rock rails installed. Dealer installed option.

Appreciate the correction. Always learning something new about the H3 on this site. Found an example. I'd like to retrofit that onto my 2006.

Just to clear up a couple of things. Because CE's were completed at SVEA and not Shrevesport (RPO code SHV), there were a few anomalies, especially with early deliveries: 1) Some were delivered with UCP installed. Mine was as I watched it being backed off the transport. 2) None were delivered with an ALPHA badge and most came with nothing in that spot. Mine came with the V8 badge and my friends was delivered with a HUMMER decal the same as the one seen on the air intake caps. Also ..... eight year old vehicle, who hasn't had a SERVICE TPM message? Have a good day.

I'm by no means a specialist when it comes to the Alpha (even thou I own one) - but what is this:

I ask because I do not see the Alpha markings (headrest, steering wheel, etc). Is this considered a CE addition?

Hey CLSSIC87,
You are right, this is not an ALPHA but a CE. There are several visible items:
As you mentioned, there is no ALPHA interior or exterior badging.
Anti glare sheet between louver and windshield.
Black brush guard.
Paint color.
Fender flares.
UCP visible in picture five.
Front and rear lockers.

If there is no/limited rust on the chassis, this is one heck of a bargain. It is obvious that the lister doesn't know what it is. All CE's are rare but the LUX interior makes this even more so. I have both an ALPHA X and a CE and I have been approached (unsolicited ) about selling my CE at a premium and not so on the ALPHA!
P.S. The outstanding recall is probably to have the plastic fake louver on the hood glued down. A bunch of them have blown off with some breaking the windshield at high speeds.

As soon as you see the Ultra Silver paint and V8 on an 09, it's a Championship Edition.

So the CE's only came in Silver then? I asked because when I searched for mine I was only looking for White Alphas... I didn't really know what I was looking for other then I wanted white with a V-8.
