I need to get a set of center caps for my new wheels. GM has these 2 items that will fit:

GM Parts Direct: Your direct source for Genuine GM Parts

and

GM Parts Direct: Your direct source for Genuine GM Parts

The first are more expensive by a few dollars but they look identical. The only difference I can see is that the cheaper ones (the second link) says polished on some websites I visit. Does anyone know the difference between the two? I'm guessing that the first link is possibly chromed and the second link is a polished stainless steel but that is just a guess. I called the dealer w/no luck.

"Polished" is the chrome film plated ABS caps for the shiny chrome style factory wheels.

The cheaper ones are the matte gray caps for the same matte gray style factory wheels.

 

While we are on the subject of caps.... Was there one available with a black center and black lil Hummer part? I have saw a few H3's here locally that have matte gray wheels but the center caps are matte gray with black centers. Was this stock of did they paint them??

If so, they are center caps off a 2006.

 

That is exactly what I meant. So that was the caps.from 2006 models??

 

Seems to me that these caps are an 06 only item from GM OEM. I have seen other years with them but they only came "stock" on the 06s. I think in the future they may become quite desireable!

 

I know I have 5 I painted all black years ago...wish I would have thought ahead and kept them as a collectors item lol
