Any of you guys install one in your H2.......I was thinking of getting rid of the onstar electronics and using the space to put in a CB radio, and install the antenna on the tire carrier...........i would love some suggestions on locations and what equipment to buy from those of you who have them already

I just use a hand held with an external magnetic based antenna. Have to get the model numbers when I get home. I also have a Yaesu 8800R but it is not installed at the moment.

 

I have my CB on the drivers side, by the bottom hub.....Screwed into the plastic/black carpet.......powerd by a Cig. Plug in the Acc. sockett.........

The anttena (Cable)is ran under carpet to back ,Tire swing and mounted with a Trucker High-gain Anttena...(Black)......Good range, about 4-8 miles, Barefoot......

My buddy has his, hooked up to his Trailer hitch, where the Ball would be,...........

He don't have a boat and I do.........Rick

Midland 75 822 and a Cobra roadtrip. Both are handhelds and do well with an external antenna.
