The rear right plastic thingy (sorry will add pics), snapped off from the back of the inside right rear corner of my Hummer. This particular piece holds the cargo net, which lies horizontal, not vertical like the saftey net, in place.

Not a big deal, but the piece is covered under warranty... I asked if they could drop ship it to my house as opposed to having me drive 100 miles and spend 20 bucks in gas to pick up a $7.00 (free) piece. They won't, they said I need to bring my truck in...

Anyway,I am trying to find something online,I would be willing to forget the warranty and pay for something, but oddly enough, searching for "Little plastic dohickey which holds Hummer cargo net in place replacement" doesn't yeild a result....

I assume I will be driving to the dealer, but if anyone has any ideas, would love to hear them...

I have those pine tree shaped air fresheners ( New Car Scent) hanging from my dohickeys..As if this really important info

 

So did mine - about 3 months into owning it and maybe 3-4 hooking and unhookings of my privacy net. Now how freak is this? I am leaning into the back trying to hook it back onto the "dohickey", thething snaps off (with a loud pop) and flies into my face about the speed of light LOL and hits me in the face about 1/4 inch from the corner of my right eye and hits me so hard it drew blood! Gee, if I were like many people out there maybe after several years of litigation and mucho $$ I could be owning my H3 outright???

I of course called the dealer and tried to explain what it was...they tell me it's an item that is special order and not one they keep in stock and so I must bring it in 1st to have a look and then they can order it, and then I must BRING IT BACK to "have it installed!" I informed them I could install it myself so mail it to me!! ...But Ohhhhh NOOOOO! Soooo 2 trips into the dealer and it was done! Thank God I am only 15 mins from them.

I'm laughin cause I know exactly what you mean, your first reaction is...holy chit...I've been shot...WTF was that...then you immediatly check for blood....then slowly check to make sure no one was watching you the whole time
