Cargo door latch stuck

Cargo door latch stuck
My right cargo door latch is stuck in the locked position. From inside the vehicle, it would be the left side.
Other than spraying some WD-40 in there, is there a way to open that little bar in the middle of the latch? Anybody know which direction it slides to open?
