well its easy...... take a thinner key then your hummer key....stick in where the seat belt goes .....make sure u put it in near the ss of "press"....press down till u hear it lock, then pull the key back out.

i for one choose not to wear one,i hate seatbelts....my choice ! I also have the choice of not wearing a helmet on my harley and i DO NOT...

Sconnol... Ditto!
It's my choice. In the Hummer or the Harley. I beleive it's just another way for the states to make more money on the fines. I don't believe it costs the state any more money if I'm dead or not. Yeah, my decision may bite me in the butt someday, but the government has no right to tell me how to live my life or die.
Just my 2 cents.

Wow, things got a little out of control!

I am of the pro choice group, and also have a friend who about 12 years ago was driving his pickup truck on the highway and fell asleep then drove right into the back of a truck and empty trailer parked on the side of the road. He was thrown from the vehicle and clearly would have died if he wasn't thrown.

Anyways, wearing it while driving in the city is one thing and I usually do, but when I am driving in a field it is completely unnecessary. Especially because I happen to be getting in and out frequently in said field. I know with a Ford or Chrysler vehicle you can turn it off doing a series of steps with the key and brake pedal.

Thanks for the tip sconnoll, I will try it out later.

Even though I have read the suggestions on 'how to turn off', still don't understand....do I put a thin key into the place where the seat belt should go? Actually it is my hubby who refuses to wear one and I am sick of hearing the chime reminder.

Isn't there a fuse for the chie that could be removed, then that way someone else could wear the seatbelt if he/she wanted to.
