Default Can anyone identify this brush guard?

Hi Folks,

I have an opportunity to pick up this brush guard for $250 (CDN) locally. It was previously used on a Hummer that some company used for show / advertisement i.e. it's never been abused.

I cannot figure out who makes it! It looks similar to the OEM guard, except that it has the extra bar on the top of it. I'm thinking I can use it to mount a which plate in the future. Either way, $250 (CDN) seems like a great deal!

Can't figure out how to edit my original post...

By "it" I mean the brush guard itself at the bottom between the mount points, not the extra bar on the top of it.

Yup! Its a Manik Brush Guard, they changed it to a wrap style before they went belly up... NTB of a price...

Those mud grapplers come with it?

Great, thanks! I wish the tires came with it!

So with this Manik guard, it shouldn't hinder the installation of a CB winch plate, should it? It looks like it mounts similar to the OEM guard.

I also notice that it was made for a 2006 H3... but I shouldn't have any problem mounting it on my 2008, should I?

Shouldnt have any issues wit hthe winch plate but Im not 100% on that... pm theBroken and ask him... his name is Brodie and for someone that wants to mod their H3 he is your best friend

Yes it will fit your 08 the front end never changed on the H3s so it realistically will fit all H3s and H3Ts

Default guard

I had the same thing but it was not a Manik. It was one I got on E-Bay. It was very sturdy. I liked the extra loop on top it gave you a good idea of where your front end was. I paid $250 shipped. I took it off and sold it when I put a boulder bumper on

I have one just like it with an 8.5e winch all mounted together and it works great.

Great! I'm very excited about it, I'm going to pick it up this weekend.

As far as install goes, is it as simple as it seems? Unbolt the tow shackles, put guard on, put shackles back on top of the guard and slot the bolts back in? I can't imagine having to haul the front end of for this.

Yeah Scott, that easy... undo the big old grizzly bolt(s) that run through the shackles, than the two underneath it, there may be a small star screw in the center of the plate, if its on there real good you may need to "persuade" it to come off with a mallet or flat head screw driver or both... put the BG on and reinstall the tow hooks... that easy... maybe take you 15 mins by yourself, with a buddy 10mins tops... power tools seconds lol...

My OEM took all but a few minutes to get on. The bolts sometimes need a little persuasion to get back in, but once you yell at them a few times they go back in
