I have lotsa Chrome ABS and live in the rustbelt in central Ohio. My stuff is holding up very well. No peeling or discoloration. I also have SS trim parts. No chrome cast metal.

 

I thought Chrome ABS was a reference to chromed plastic/ABS plastic. I'm not right, am I [&o]

 

Yes you are correct. It's a special process allowing chrome to be applied to ABS plastic.

 

i have not tryed to pull the chrome off the mirrors am just gona get new mirrors with the chrome allready.i tryed to pull the covers off the door handles but did not work to well so just threw them out.i have the putco hood with handles and its the only putco product thats stood up but gona replace that to with a higher quility one

 

Y'all are making me rethink my relocation intentions in a couple years when I retire. Salt on roads? What Einstein thought that brilliant idea up? Is there no better choice to free your roads of ice and snow than that?

 

Agree... I'm gonna remove all Putco covers! they suck! In addition,Mirror covers can't cover all.

I love GM products!!!!! better not to buy aftermarket products!

 

Salt will do that, that's ugly. My DD H3 is sitting in the driveway and will never see the inside of our garage (the wife's Subi and family Nitro and my Vulcan live inside and my Power Wagon and H3 always live in the driveway). But I try to wash the salt off as often as I can in the winter. Sucks today however as both the PW and H3 look white with salt and it's only 11 degrees outside, well below freezing so I am not going to be able to wash the salt off today like I want.

 

I agree..PUTCO stuff is crap. I tried it on my R/T Durango in Florida 10 years ago..I bought the best for my H3...my Dad always said.."....The bitterness of poor quality..remains long after the sweetness of low price "...Amen..
