Buying OEM rocker protection
I’ve done the search thing but what I really need to know is there anywhere I can purchase the OEM rocker bars w/removal steps other then the dealer? I was thinking about the Rocky Road sliders but I need something with a step closer to the ground for my wife to get in & out of the truck. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Rocky Road doesn't make a slider that fits the Alpha yet. I have been perstering them but they seem pretty lackadaisical about the whole thing. One day they might get around to it. Keep watching Ebay as they come up on Ebay semi-regularly.

Sherrif.....
that was my question exactly....I didn't think that there was a difference between the Alpha and regular H3 frame????
Alphadogg,
I've been looking for the same thing.....the dealer is just way to expensive for them. I'll let you know if I find anything or anyone selling some!

I have an 08 alpha , and the Rocky Roads fit fine. 20 minute install. No problems what so ever. They are the same sliders as the I5. the only changes to the Frame from I5 to V8 was ahead of the firewall.

Just curious...what is different about an H3 Alpha that would prevent a std H3 rocker protector from working?!!?

RE: Buying OEM rocker protection
I went to buy a set from a guy in Orange. We pulled his off his 2006 H3 and went to bolt them on my Alpha. One of the frame brackets was positioned slightly forward of where it was on his H3. The bracket wouldn't allow you to slide the slider back far enough to bolt the back holes. I could have taken a grinder and enlarged the holes on the brackets but was concerned there wouldn't be enough metal left around the bolt hole.
