Default Buying an H2

Hi,
I'm new to the form but i've been reading posts for the last few weeks. I'm seriously considering purchasing an H2 that I've been looking at for while but I wanted the experts opinion on it. It's a 2005 Hummer H2 adventure edition with 129,000 miles. It has never touched the trail's (such a shame) and their asking $15,000. Is there anything I should watch out for? Am I crazy for looking into a 15k dollar vehicle with 129,000 on it? Would you buy it or keep looking? Thanks alot guys.

The miles are a tad high; however, it has great quality tires and some chrome extras. For $15K I would consider it... Try talking him down some though...

Yeah I would talk them down a little. Did you test drive it yet?

I would just do research on this forum and you can make a list of things to look out for.

Good luck!

Thanks. Ya I took it for a test drive a few days back. It felt BIG lol which surprised me because I drive a ford expedition, so I'm used to oversized vehicles. Everything felt tight in the front-end, engine looked clean maybe just a small exhaust leak. That's all. Other then that the pick up was great and it was shifting smooth.

When I started it up tho I had my foot pressed on the break as it started up the break peddle pushed back and raised a bit. Is that common?? I also noticed a bit of rust under the rear end is that also common on the Hummers?

You know, I would schedule to take the H2 to your mechanic and have him go over it completely if you are unsure about the feel of things. Then you will be assured its a good buy. Always nice having a cushion knowing you will not be regretting the purchase.
