that's stampede reservoir. we don't have lakes in CA, well, not natural ones anyway, aside from Tahoe. all our lakes have dams at one end of them. but it was a beautiful day, even with the recovery exercise. always good to keep the recovery skills honed . . . .

Lake shmake...It's still beautiful up there...I can see why you love offroading so much around there...

we passed one on the way back that was frozen solid, even had some ice skaters on it. it was a balmy 8 degrees outside, without a cloud in the sky

Nice photos and I'm glad the winch came in handy...thinking about getting one myself. BTW, what camera are you using Shorty?

I miss going to Shaver Lake (East of Fresno) each winter for some snow-time fun...a portion of that lake freezes-overeach winter as well. Name:  IceSkatingEskimoanimated.gif
