Anyone know any secret to remove the plastic caps which cover the bolts of the toe hook bar itself...my '09 has the caps on bith sides of the bolt bar across the U-hook head and nut. I would not like to damage them.

So if I understand correctly, that bull bar was bolted on in front of the BG and not welded onto the BG itself.

BlueH3, I just used a screwdriver to pry them off.

That's the OEM grill guard that came on the H3X models.
