Default Broken front Diff.

I have a 2006 H3 and the front differential imploded....the ring gear and pinion started sending chunks through the diff....does anyone offer a complete diagram with parts list.....I know the ring gear and pinion and possibly the bearings and seals could be bought localy

get a diff at a junk yard complete, cheap
rebuilding a diff is a critical, exacting job for pros.
you dont just put in a bunch af parts!

get a cast iron better one

Lol. Just order the parts?
I agree the cost of a salvage differential will be cheaper, especially if you get an exact match. I see em here in the swap/4 sale section and at other sites dealing with hummer stuff. Craigslist, ebay and the like.
But, a rebuild is not totally out of the question.

1 how did it happen, OffRoad or OnRoad
2 if the case has a slight crack it's toast. Your 06 has an aluminum case.
3 if you wheel it get a cast iron diff out of an 08 Alpha. You will have to regear to 4:56.
4 if you go salvage yards, have it rebuilt with all new parts.

No cast iron on I5s until 2009, all aluminum before that.

yeah, mine is a "10" so you need to get it right. a junkyard should know, but double check.
even if you get aluminum, be sure

09-10 I5 Adventure Package diffs are very hard to find. Thats why I suggested an Alpha diff. Should be plenty of 08-10 non locking cast iron diffs out there.
